KAVS_CatheterThis simple, yet highly effective procedure utilizing the patented KAVS Catheter is performed with ultrasound assistance:

• Puncture the vein and use a 9F and put the catheter forward under ultrasound
• Inflate the balloon with NaCl (volume max 2.5 ml) and block the vein
• Inject the sclerosing agent (foam 1%). The volume depends on the vein size.
• Control the effect via ultrasound
• Aspirate the sclerosing agent after the effect
• Unblock the vein and remove the catheter
